Super Chocolate Love Bites!

My husband and I made these just for fun this afternoon and were absolutely blown away by these little treats!  SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good!

So many super foods in one recipe!  Goji berries, chia seeds, maca powder, cacao powder, cacao nibs, and 180 Nutrition protein!  I've included the links on these super foods and 180 Nutrition for you to take a look at - all of these ingredients pack a super punch, but the name of these bites comes from the addition of the maca powder.........(curious to take a look at the link now?).  There's no baking, just mixing so it truly is a recipe for everyone.

What you need
  • 3 scoops/150g of 180 Nutrition protein powder (chocolate or coconut)
  • 1/4 cup maca powder
  • 1/2 cup LSA (linseed, sunflower and almond meal)
  • 1 tbs cacao powder
  • 1/4 cup cacao nibs
  • 1 tbs chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup goji berries
  • Zest of 1/2 an orange
  • Juice of 1 orange

How to put it together
  1. Soak the goji berries in the zest and orange juice and leave for an hour.
  2. In a bowl mix together the 180 Nutrition powder, maca powder, LSA, cacao powder, cacao nibs and chia seeds.
  3. Melt the coconut oil.
  4. Add the goji berries, juice and zest to the dry mix and stir.
  5. Add the coconut oil to the mix as you are stirring.
  6. Line a small tray with baking paper
  7. Pour the mixture (it might be crumbly still) into the lined tray and press firmly until all the mixture is pushed together.
  8. Refrigerate for 1 hour (at least)
Grow Eat Run has just clocked up it's 200th "like" on Facebook!  If there are recipes that you're thinking about, food you're not sure how else to use or you are looking for some help in the garden let me know and I'll see if I can help you out!  Tors x
