What is Grow Eat Run?

Last weekend I decided to start sharing with a wider audience what's going in the garden, what new creations are happening in the kitchen and to have a bit of an honesty system when it comes to my training for a grueling 20km in March 2012.  Hopefully it will inspire you too to grow as much of your own food as you can, give you some different recipe ideas and you can share in the pain that I call distance running.

So let's start with what I'm not - I'm not a nutritionist, I'm not a horticulturalist or a physical trainer.  But this is what I am: I do have a pretty successful veggie patch (even by my dad's standards!), I am a passionate cook, and I can't think of any better way to start a Saturday morning than with a work out.

I look forward to sharing my gardening adventures,  photos, recipes and challenges!
